Bologna Welcomes the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Travelling Exhibition
Bologna's Piazza Lucio Dalla is hosting the travelling yellow tent of the Volunteer Ministers of Scientology, where the exhibition will remain through 8 September.
Approximately 100 guests were present for the opening, including representatives of communities assisted by Volunteer Ministers after natural disasters.
Among them was Pianoro Mayor Luca Vecchiettini, who remembered the practical help received by his community following the 2024 floods. Restaurateur Fabrizio Lazzarini also recalled the Volunteer Ministers helping his business recover after the flooding.
Andrea Ferrarini, formerly involved with civil protection in Bondeno, recalled Volunteer Ministers helping communities following the 2012 Emilia earthquake.
The Volunteer Ministers programme was established in news european union 1976 by L. Ron Hubbard, founder of Scientology, the programme combines community assistance with disaster-response activities.
Inside the Bologna tent, visitors can see displays about humanitarian work and practical assistance while learning about methods addressing communication, education, relationships and everyday challenges.
Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Bologna initiative as a reflection of the role citizens can play in strengthening their communities.
The Bologna exhibition highlights a programme that operates both in times of disaster and in everyday community life.
